With the App Password working for SMTP I decided to try and set it up it for POP3 and it worked!Ĭould the enabling of Email forwarding on my 365 account allow for POP3 with App Password? Or Microsoft have changed something allowing compatibility again? I have no idea but POP3 is working again. ![]() After IT did this for some reason my SMTP broke but I was able to use the App Password in 365 to setup my SMTP in Gmail again.So I would be able to receive and send outlook emails in Gmail. As a work around I requested from our IT company to allow forwarding on my 365 emails to my Gmail account which I had SMTP for my work email setup.I tried the using the App password in Gmail under POP3 and it failed.To do this I setup Microsoft Authenticator on my phone and linked it to my 365 account. ![]()
